The mechanical engineering technology program provides students with the education and experience to be successful in various fields of mechanical technology. It does so by emphasizing the application of fundamental scientific and engineering principles to the areas of mechanical design, fluid power, instrumentation/controls and materials. Completion of the program results in granting the Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology degree. Graduates can expect employment in the fields of product design and development, manufacturing systems design, technical sales, plant operations and management, quality assurance, testing and evaluation, utilities, power generation and automated equipment design and service, among many others.
