If you are interested in becoming a SWE officer, please join us in CC47 this Friday at noon to learn about all of the different positions! We will be discussing how the election process will work and what all of the open positions (President, Vice President, Outreach Chair, Webmaster, Fundraising Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, and Region H Conference Co-Chair) involve.

Coming to this meeting doesn't mean that you have to run for a position! Nominations will take place Friday March 18th-Friday April 1st. In addition to discussing the elections, we will be presenting our February SWEster of the Month and pulling winners for the Winter Quarter Raffle competition!

If you have any questions or if you can’t make the meeting but want more information on elections, please contact Rachael Digrazia (digraziar@.msoe.edu)

Hey SWEsters!

Registration for the Region H Conference is going to close on December 30th! What is the Region H Conference you ask? Annually, SWE Collegiate Region H (that’s us) has a conference that is full of great workshops, incredible networking opportunities, careers fairs, and social events that are just for members of Region H and is held sometime in the spring.

This year, the Region H Conference is going to be held at UW-Platteville from Friday February 26th-Sunday February 28th. It truly is an awesome opportunity for collegiate SWE members to experience even just once and it is the weekend after finals week so missing school won’t be a worry. After all, you became a National Member so these opportunities would be available to you, right! The good news is this: if you are interested in attending the event, MSOE’s SWE chapter will pay for half of the registration cost for you! (NOTE: The $38 will be refunded AFTER attending the conference)

If you are interested in going, please email Rachael DiGrazia (digraziar@msoe.edu) to let her know you would like to register so we have a list of girls who would like to attend.

If you want to learn some more about the conference go here:https://www.uwplatt.edu/ems-success/swe-region-h-conference

From your SWE Officers and Advisor, we hope you have a very happy holidays and New Year! See you next year!

Thank you Kayla for your volunteerism and hard work!

Happy Week 10 SWEsters!

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, but not everyone can look forward to the yummy scrumptious dinners that most do. On Friday, the women’s softball team and men’s volleyball team will be hosting a can collection drive “Cans Across the Conference” at the Men’s Hockey game. This is a chance to donate any cans of food (soup, stew, chili, vegetables, fruit, etc) to help those in need! There’s a small competition attached to the org that donates the most, but let’s not try to win, let’s try to make some other person’s Thanksgiving better thanks to our donations. That being said, if you have any cans you would like to donate, bring them to the Men’s Hockey game this Friday night and drop them off and cheer on our men’s hockey team!

Go Raiders!

P.S. Don’t forget about tye-dying tshirts on Friday at noon! We look forward to seeing you all 
