Greg is a senior Software engineering student at MSOE. He has been very active in SWE this year with excellent meeting and event attendance. Greg often helps SWE from behind a camera, and we are grateful for his help over the years working behind the scenes. We wish him the best of luck as he graduates from MSOE this week!
Our “SWEster” of the month, April 2014, is Ashley Toll!
Ashley is a sophomore Biomedical engineering student at MSOE. She has been a great help with SWE outreach events this year and was also very active in our St. Pat’s competition. We look forward to seeing how Ashley will continue supporting SWE as our section’s Outreach Chair next year!
Thank you to all who came out to our end of the year party. The night started out with reminiscing while viewing the end of the year video and recognizing our senior members. Afterwards, the SWEsters of the Month for April and May were announced. The party ended with a Just Dance 2014 session on the Wii.
Congratulations again to our senior SWEsters who will soon be graduating. This was a great year for SWE!

Last Friday (5/16/14), our SWEsters visited North Shore Middle School in Hartland, WI to deliver a presentation about SWE, Engineering, and MSOE. They also had a hands-on activity for students to participate in that involved working in teams to create a tin foil boat that would hold the most pennies. The students’ engineering skills were put to the test!
Thank you to our SWEsters who were able to volunteer at this event!
SWE recently had a Professional Dinner on May 1, 2014 at the APC and there was a great turnout! We were able to amass a substantial amount of professional women for this event. Our SWEsters did a great job networking with these professional women (and a few men).
The dinner was successful and we could not ask for a better turnout. The food was great and the attendees were the highlight of the event.
We hope that everyone enjoyed the event! Thank you to all who attended! Let us do this again. Our sincerest “Thank Yous” go out to Ms. Emily M., our guest speaker from Rockwell Automation who delivered her great life story, and to all of our professional women and men in attendance.
