One nice "extra" of working at MSOE is our campus's downtown Milwaukee location. It's fun to be in the center of city happenings. Yesterday as I walked to Starbucks around ten o'clock for a meeting, I took this photograph of Milwaukee's Christmas Tree being hoisted into place at Red Arrow Park.
Milwaukee's tradition of installing a city Christmas tree is 100 years old this year, and Milwaukee is apparently second only to New York City in the length of its tradition. The tree-lighting ceremony will take place on Wednesday, November 20, at 4:30 p.m. Walking over to Red Arrow for this event might provide a much-needed diversion during finals week
