Probably the largest concern from all of the and Hub users has been the search functionality.  We have spent a lot of time getting feedback from students, faculty, staff, alumni and other users to find out what exactly they want when they search for something on the site. It is  very simple: "we want to find the 'non Hub' content of the website!  We just want the web pages."

So that's exactly what we have built.

When we launch the new and improved search to the site, users will be able to search out all the pages without having to go through the Hub content. The web pages will always be the first search results whether you are using Google or the internal search function of the site.

Right now this is how search queries return if you DON'T hit return when typing in your search. But if you are a "Googler" or searcher that does hit return, you are taken to a page that doesn't host web pages exclusively.  The upgrade we are making will return web pages first no matter if you hit return or not so you will always be able to find the web pages you are looking for without combing through all the Hub content.

We are about two weeks away from this update being deployed on the site.  For now, if you are looking for a static (non-Hub) page when you search, keep your pinky off of the return key!  I'll bet you will find exactly what you are looking for!
