If you're learning how to practice engineering, or already out practicing in a field, please take the time to share a brief anecdote about what got you thinking "I could be an engineer".

Early in high school I remember being extremely interested in rockets.  Not just flying them, but designing and building them.  It wasn't just buy some kits or some parts, it was more like collect books, learn equations, build a WORKING WIND-TUNNEL in the basement (sorry Mom and Dad) and then design-build-fly lots and lots of rockets.  I found out that people actually pay you money to design and build rockets; it's called Aerospace Engineering - That's when I realized "I oughta be an Engineer!"
