I'm off campus right now, but ran into this problem myself with the new Firefox. You can right-click and extract the exe and may have better luck. Failing that, try running it from a different folder, or contact a system admin with the name of the file.
Thank you for the Firefox fix. Works like a charm. However, for Spotify it's a different story. There is no .exe file that was found when I extracted the initial installation file. Where should I move the installation file to? Also, who else should I contact for further assistance?
I am wondering about the group policy settings that are enforced on our laptops. I have tried installing Spotify and Firefox without any success. When installing Firefox, I encounter the error along the lines of "This program is blocked by group policy. For more information, contact your system administrator." With Spotify installation, a simple numerical code error is returned, "Error Code: #".
I have remedied this issue back in the Fall/Winter semester with Spotify but now I am unable to replicate this remedy.
Does anyone know how to fix this issue? Spotify is an awesome music player and I would like to migrate back from the web version to the desktop version again. I just need Firefox for testing purposes.
Thanks in advance,
Paul Fabian do you know the fix by any chance?
